Abercrombie Girl!

When I go to the Mall of America I can’t help but wanting to stop into Abercrombie & Fitch.  It reminds me so much of being young.  Just the smell of that place and the clothing vents youth.  I guess I am now supposed to shop at places like Ann Taylor, but I am still a complete sucker for vintage flannels and ragged jeans.  I think I will get this for my daughter Sunny.  She can sleep in it until it fits better.  She should fit into a women’s XS at least by age 7.  Sick.Imagehttp://www.abercrombiekids.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10851&storeId=10101&langId=-1&categoryId=110740&parentCategoryId=&topCategoryId=12103&productId=998082

Babo Tea Tree Conditioning Spray, LICE preventative.

When I was 9 months pregnant and standing before my fun friend Jane Lindblad, I said to her, “I just don’t think I can be a good parent”.  She starts into her snorting laugh and says, “well it’s a little too late for that”.  Not laughing, I said, “so now what the hell do I do”?  This is one of the best pieces of advice anyone has ever given me, she said “just stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be fine”.  We would really rather not have lice in our household and sending Sunny off to kindergarten this fall I am thinking that I will spray a little of this conditioner on her little bean every morning.  In the event of an outbreak, I hope it works!  Jane you are an awesome Mom!!!!!  We ordered the shampoo too!  Find it at:  http://www.babobotanicals.com/product_info.php?products_id=14Image

We can’t get enough of the color purple!

The meaning of the color purple:  royalty, richness, power, authority, magic, mystery, calm, re-balance, and is known to increase imagination.  It is also associated with the Crown Chakra, in which the color purple or violet increases the connection to universal sources of energy.  All I know is I like the way the color purple looks on my daughter.  These Hanna Andersson Survivor Jackets are super soft in 100% cotton.  Adult sizes too!  http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|8|3|24|167|6||&simg=36295_83MImage

Concrete Shaving Kit

My husband works with concrete and the more I am around and see this material I admire it’s many uses.  This is such a cool manly gift!  I love the way this could possibly look in the “man bathroom”.  The design is great and the brush is modeled after the 19th century hardwood and the bristles are made of badger hair.  However, I do like some facial hair so don’t shave it all off!  Unique product at:  http://store.mjolk.ca/index.php?product=2010-00+%2F+1010-00&shop=1Image

Love this!

Every time I try on clothes in the cities I feel the need to jog home from there.  Hoping that when I got home I would look like this.  I remember the days of eating whatever I wanted.  People would ask what I had for lunch and I would say, “a Mountain Dew, a bag of Doritos, and two cigarettes”.  Well, it was the truth…20 years ago.  Sweet beach cover up at:  http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/beachcoverups/PRDOVR~88296/88296.jsp

But if you looked like this, why would you cover up?  Hmmm…Image

No more “Brillo Head”!

To say that someone had “Brillo Head” in High School was just not nice.  It’s just that they didn’t know about this Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask.  Now I feel bad because I could have helped those poor people.  I have started to use this twice a week.  Leave it on for 5-7 minutes after shampoo, then rinse.  It will restore the protein that your hair needs and it smells awesome!  Keep your luscious locks!

I purchased mine at Bravo Hair Salon in Eau Claire.  More info here on-line at:  http://moroccanoil.com/en_US/products/Restorative-Hair-MaskImage

Purple Kitchen Cabinets. My husband does not get this at all.

So, I email this picture of KITCHEN cabinets to my husband – you know to get his feed back on decorating that I never really want.  What the hell is wrong with me for repeating this behavior?!  I was not able to find this on-line so I asked my friend Cinda Long (find her on my friends list on my FB page) if her rockin husband David could get some pricing for me on these.  Cinda and David own a home builders company down in Creston, Iowa.  Anyway, back to the husband issue.   I say to my husband, “so cool, Cinda and David can get us a quote on these cabinets”!  His reply, “WHAT, purple cabinets for the kitchen, I thought you were going to put those in a bathroom?  No, we are not doing that”.  Title of picture says Purple KITCHEN cabinets!  Jeez!Image

Vino-Licious Wine! Frozen Wine Ice, yummmmmmmie!

Ok, so I have TRIED to get drunk many times in my younger years and I have always failed.  Alcohol never agreed with me, but I can say that I gave it my all!  Recently my friend Sandy gifted me a Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards bottle of Southern Red Premium Table Wine, along with this amazing product called “Wine Ice, Vino Freeze Mix”.  I never use this word, but it is simply divine!  It’s like having a wine-slushie.  Add your favorite bottle of Merlot or Cabernet (However, I highly recommend the Southern Red wine from Lakeridge Winery) to this mix, then refill your empty wine bottle with water and add this to the mix as well.  Freeze for 3-4 hours, remove from freezer, and mix to get the perfect slushie consistency!  Not that my aim is to get smashed, but I am happy to say that I have found a drink that I like, a lot.  Thanks Sandy!  Here is where you can find it:  http://www.owgshoponline.com/category-s/1856.htmImage

Wooden Letter Railway System, they magnetically connect!

This is a fun gift!  Sunny gave her friend Owen a train with his name on it for Easter.  Owen is a sweet little boy that loves trains.  They are made out of maple wood with magnets that attach on both sides.  They are high quality, primary colors, and make a great personalized gift.  Sunny said she would like a train of these letters with her full name.  Side note:  her middle name is Athanasia.  Long train!  I got mine here in Eau Claire at Imagination Station in Oakwood Mall.  If you need to order online you can find them at:  http://www.maplelandmark.com/nametrains/brightcolornames.lassoImageImage
